Responsible gambling at VegasNow: limits, exclusion and help

Calling 1800 858 858: what to expect
The NSW Government lists this number as the Gambling Help hotline, and Medicare Mental Health describes the counselling as free, confidential and open around the clock. Ring about your own play or someone else's. You need no plan first; finding the next step is what the call is for. Details are at gamblinghelponline.org.au.
Putting a deposit limit on your VegasNow account
Sign in and set it in your account, or ask support to apply it. State the amount and the period, then get the scope and start date confirmed in writing. One gap to know: our general terms, version 2.3 of 20 January 2024, say in section 8.4 that a deposit limit cannot be placed on crypto deposits. A ceiling on card or MiFinity top-ups therefore leaves crypto uncapped. Want a loss limit? Ask whether one can be applied and how it is calculated.
Telling VegasNow whether you want a limit, closure or exclusion
Say which one you want. A limit keeps the account open with a ceiling; closure and self-exclusion are about stopping. Activation times can vary, so ask support to confirm in writing the scope, the date it takes effect, and what happens to your access and account records. Keep that acknowledgement. Contact routes are on our support page.
Why BetStop is not the tool for a VegasNow account
BetStop, the National Self-Exclusion Register, covers wagering providers that hold Australian licences. Our licence, OGL/2024/164/0246, comes from Curaçao, so do not rely on BetStop to stop play here: use the self-exclusion inside your account, or have support switch it on. Registering at betstop.gov.au still makes sense if you also bet with Australian-licensed bookmakers. Our licensing page explains the record.
A request you can paste into VegasNow live chat
Clear wording gets a clear answer. Fill the brackets and send it to live chat or support@vegasnow.com:
Keep a request to stop separate from any other question.
Signs it is time to pause
- Staking more to win back a loss. Losing does not make a bigger stake sensible.
- Seeing a bonus as the way out. A bonus does not repair harm.
- Depositing again while a withdrawal is still pending.
- Money, time or relationships taking the strain.
Any one of these is reason enough to set a limit or call 1800 858 858.
Questions worth asking VegasNow or a counsellor
Whether you ring Gambling Help Online or message us, ask:
- What help is there for the effect on my finances, my time or the people close to me?
- Which exclusion or blocking options apply to the services I use?
- How do I cut down gambling emails and messages?
- What support is there for a family member or friend?
Staying in control at VegasNow: your questions
How old do I need to be to play at VegasNow?
Adults aged 18+.
Does my deposit limit cover crypto?
No. Under section 8.4 of the general terms, crypto deposits sit outside deposit limits. Check with support exactly which methods your limit reaches.
How soon does self-exclusion start?
Activation times can vary. Ask support to confirm the effective date in writing, and keep that confirmation.
Can a bonus help me recover losses?
No. A bonus carries 40× wagering, and a loss is not a reason to stake more. If you are chasing losses, call 1800 858 858.
