Book of Ra at VegasNow: three editions, one set of account rules
Our lobby carries three Novomatic pokies with Book of Ra in the name: the classic game, Book of Ra deluxe and Book of Ra Magic. Below, the practical answers come first: which edition is which, what the studio publishes and leaves blank, how a ten-line stake fits the A$8 bonus cap, and how your spins count toward 40x wagering and loyalty points.

VegasNow quick reference for the three Book of Ra games
Three different Novomatic pokies carry the Book of Ra name, and the studio fills in only part of the spec sheet for each one. This is the whole of what it gives us.
| Edition | What Novomatic states | Left blank by Novomatic |
|---|---|---|
| Book of Ra (classic) | The Book doubles as wild and scatter | Reels, lines, volatility, RTP, top win |
| Book of Ra deluxe | Five reels, ten paylines, volatility 5 | Feature summary, RTP, top win |
| Book of Ra Magic | Five reels, ten paylines, volatility 5, plus 10 free games in which up to 9 special symbols, picked at random, can expand | RTP, top win |
Put plainly: RTP is not published and maximum win is not published, for every edition. Two things stay the same across all three because they come from your account rather than the game. Slot stakes clear bonus wagering in full unless the bonus terms list the title as an exception, and the slot loyalty rate applies.
Finding the right Book of Ra edition in our lobby
Type Book of Ra into the lobby search and the three editions show up side by side. A Novomatic filter works too, and lists them among the studio's other titles. In the catalogue on 3 November 2026, the Magic edition was spelled Book Of Ra Magic, deluxe appeared in the catalogue artwork, and the classic game carried its plain name.
Pick the tile by name
Choose the edition by its full title rather than its artwork, which looks nearly identical across the three.
Read the loading screen
The name shown while the game loads is the product whose rules apply. If it differs from the tile, pause and ask our support team.
Open the rules, then save
Check the in-game info panel and paytable, then add the edition to Saved games so the same version opens next time.
Which one to open
On published numbers none of the three comes out ahead, because the RTP is missing for all of them. Choose on design instead. The classic is the place for the original two-job Book. Deluxe gives you the documented five-reel, ten-line layout. Magic adds the randomly picked expanders in its free games, the one feature round set out in the Novomatic information we work from.
Catalogue entries can vary by region and account, so treat a listing as what the lobby shows on the day you look.
The Book symbol, the reels and how a line pays
On the classic edition the Book has two jobs: it is the wild and the scatter in one symbol. Most of what makes the game feel the way it does follows from that.
As the wild
The Book can take the place of a missing symbol on a payline, turning a near miss into a line win. In this role it only helps along a line.
As the scatter
The Book also counts wherever it appears on the reels, line or no line. A single Book can complete a payline and add to the scatter tally in the same spin, which is why players track it more closely than any other symbol.
Deluxe and Magic
Novomatic lists both editions with five reels and ten paylines, and a win needs matching symbols along one of the ten. Its summary for these two does not repeat the classic Book description, so check each paytable for what the Book does there.
The money side is multiplication. With every line active, a spin costs ten times the line stake: A$0.30 a line is A$3, and A$0.55 a line is A$5.50. Some layouts show the line figure, others the spin total. Our bonus rules only ever look at the total.
Why RTP and maximum win show as not published
Novomatic gives neither figure for any of the three games, so this page writes not published. Filling the gap from another Book title, another edition or a third-party list would hand you a precise-looking number for the wrong product.
- Volatility 5. Published for deluxe and Magic on Novomatic's own scale. It describes how wins tend to be distributed, fewer and larger or smaller and more often, and nothing about when they land. It also cannot be lined up against another studio's wording, such as the medium-high label on Elvis Frog in Vegas.
- RTP. Where a studio does publish one, it is an average over a vast volume of play, never a session forecast.
- Maximum win. A top multiplier marks a ceiling, not an expected outcome. With none published, we state none.
When a figure would change your choice, look for it in the info panel of the exact edition before staking. The pokies overview covers why figures never carry across editions.
Inside the Book of Ra Magic feature round
The Magic feature gives you 10 free games, and the game picks up to nine special symbols at random to act as expanders. When an expander lands during those games it stretches to fill its reel, so it can complete paylines it would otherwise miss.
How many expanders get picked is the part that varies. Say the game picks two: only those two can stretch across the ten games, and every other symbol plays as normal. Say it picks seven: most of what lands has the chance to stretch, close to the full nine Novomatic gives as the upper end. Neither case tells you what the round will return, because the studio publishes the design rather than an average result.

What VegasNow 40x wagering looks like in Book of Ra spins
Every edition is a slot, so each dollar you stake on it clears a full dollar of bonus wagering under our general bonus terms of 26 February 2024, subject to the exceptions list. Table games move far slower: roulette at 25%, blackjack and game shows at 10%, baccarat not at all.
| Stage | Match | Bonus up to | Spins | Code |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1st deposit | 150% | A$1,500 | 200 | None |
| 2nd deposit | 100% | A$2,000 | 50 | VEGAS2 |
| 3rd deposit | 50% | A$2,000 | 50 | VEGAS3 |
| 4th deposit | 25% | A$2,500 | 200 | VEGAS4 |
Together that is up to A$8,000 and 500 spins. The smallest qualifying deposit is A$20 per offer, rising to A$30 by card or MiFinity. A 7-day window applies, the bonus and any spin winnings each need 40x, cash-outs from an offer stop at A$5,000, and you can hold just one bonus at once.
Worked example: an A$80 first deposit
150% of A$80 is A$120 in bonus funds, so the balance starts at A$200. The requirement is 40 times A$120, or A$4,800 of stakes, inside seven days.
| Per line | Per spin (10 lines) | Spins to reach A$4,800 | Per day over 7 days |
|---|---|---|---|
| A$0.20 | A$2 | 2,400 | About 343 |
| A$0.40 | A$4 | 1,200 | About 171 |
| A$0.60 | A$6 | 800 | About 114 |
| A$0.80 | A$8, the cap | 600 | About 86 |
Three side rules apply. The 200 spins unlock once A$80 has been staked one time, then land in daily batches of 40 over five days. Separately, the deposit needs turning over three times, A$240, before any withdrawal linked to it. And the VEGAS2 stage stays locked until this bonus is cleared or lapses.
Winnings from the welcome spins
Suppose the first daily batch of 40 spins returns A$9.50. That amount carries its own 40x, A$380 of stakes, or 190 spins at A$2. Total winnings from welcome spins are capped at A$300, so a strong run on them stops counting at that figure.
A larger stage changes the daily pace
Compare an A$520 third deposit with VEGAS3. Half of A$520 is A$260, and 40 times that is A$10,400. At A$8 a spin you need 1,300 spins, roughly 186 a day; at A$4 the count doubles to 2,600, roughly 371 a day. The clock stays at seven days whatever the size of the bonus, so choose a deposit whose daily spin count you can live with, or turn the bonus down, which the general terms allow. Full stage rules are on our welcome bonus page.
Line stake, spin total and the VegasNow A$8 ceiling
With any bonus running, the most a single spin may cost is A$8, counted across all ten lines. On deluxe and Magic that caps the line stake at A$0.80.
| Line stake | Ten-line total | Inside the cap? |
|---|---|---|
| A$0.15 | A$1.50 | Yes |
| A$0.35 | A$3.50 | Yes |
| A$0.70 | A$7 | Yes |
| A$0.80 | A$8 | Yes, right on it |
| A$1.50 | A$15 | No |
Each game sets its own stake steps, so your selector may skip some of these values. Judge the total you end up with.
The cap covers welcome stages, weekly reloads and points-store bonuses alike, from activation until the bonus is cleared, lapses or is declined. It lives in the terms, not in the game, so a higher stake may still be accepted on screen. Re-check after changing edition, after a feature round, or when you come back from another title.
Going over buys nothing, either. A deposit bonus pays out no more than A$5,000 per offer, so a bigger spin cannot raise that ceiling, and it breaks the bonus terms.
Reloads and points-store bonuses on Book of Ra
Weekly offers use the same maths as the welcome stages: 100% slot contribution, 40x and the A$8 cap.
Tuesday: Lucky 7s Load Up
A 77% match capped at A$77, repeatable across deposits, using the code on the offer. Deposit A$95 and the bonus is A$73.15; 40 times that is A$2,926, or 732 spins at A$4 (731.5, rounded up, since half a spin is not possible). The A$77 ceiling arrives at a A$100 deposit, so putting in A$140 still yields A$77.
Friday: Friday Night Spotlight
A qualifying Friday deposit brings 40 free spins on that week's featured game. The title rotates and is named on the offer, so confirm it before expecting a Book of Ra edition.
Any day: Loyalty Store bonuses
Points-store bonuses follow the same 40x and A$8 rules. Because the limit is one bonus at a time, cash in points after the current bonus ends; a new one would only queue. All nine recurring offers sit on the weekly promotions page.
How Book of Ra turnover builds VegasNow loyalty points
Slots earn points fastest at VegasNow: A$25 of real-money spins on any Book of Ra edition gives you a redeemable point plus a status point. Roulette needs A$100 per point, blackjack and baccarat A$250. You spend redeemable points in the Loyalty Store, while status points lift you through seven levels named after Las Vegas venues, beginning at Golden Glimmer I.
Worked example at A$4 a spin
- A$0.40 a line makes each spin A$4, so 100 spins mean A$400 staked and 16 points of each kind.
- Reaching 200 points, the smallest exchange, takes A$5,000 of real-money stakes: 1,250 spins at A$4.
- Golden Glimmer II begins at 600 status points (A$15,000 staked, 3,750 spins at A$4), and Golden Glimmer III at 2,000 (A$50,000).
| Store row | Bonus | Each point worth | Then wager 40x |
|---|---|---|---|
| Golden Glimmer, 200 points | A$5 | 2.5 cents | A$200 |
| Golden Glimmer, 2,000 points saved | A$60 | 3 cents | A$2,400 |
| Parisian Palace Las Vegas, 750 points | A$20 | About 2.7 cents | A$800 |
| Bella Vista, 100,000 points | A$5,000 | 5 cents | A$200,000 |
Points track turnover regardless of outcome, so those 1,250 spins earn 200 points on a winning night and a losing one alike. Every figure here is money staked, not money lost. The loyalty and VIP page sets out the full published ladder and how invitations to the Sin City VIP Lounge work.
Seven Book of Ra slip-ups and the fix for each
Most trouble with these games comes from account rules rather than the reels.
- Taking the line figure for the spin cost. A$1 a line is A$10 a spin. Fix: read the total after every change.
- Carrying numbers between editions. A figure quoted for one Book title describes that title only. Fix: use the info panel on screen.
- Confusing feature games with account spins. Fix: use the comparison table above to see whose rules apply.
- Swapping edition mid-bonus. The new game may open at a different default stake. Fix: confirm A$8 or less on arrival.
- Stepping up after a quiet stretch. No Book is ever due. Fix: stay at the stake you planned.
- Choosing a bonus too large for your week. A$10,400 in seven days is a lot of spins. Fix: work out the daily count first.
- Exchanging points mid-bonus. The new bonus just queues. Fix: exchange once the active one is finished.

Book of Ra on a phone: the VegasNow browser route
Use your phone's browser. VegasNow has no app in the App Store or Google Play and no APK file to sideload; a Home Screen icon does the same job.
- Safari on iPhone or iPad: the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
- Chrome on Android: the More menu, then Install, or create a shortcut.
Balance, bonus progress and points are shared between phone and desktop. What changes is the size of the stake buttons, and a small screen makes it easier to read a line figure as a spin total. Check the total after each adjustment. Our mobile page covers both routes step by step.

Book of Ra at VegasNow: your questions answered
Which Book of Ra edition is which?
The classic Book of Ra is the one where the Book is wild and scatter at once. Deluxe has five reels, ten paylines and a Novomatic volatility rating of 5. Magic keeps that layout and adds a round of 10 free games in which up to nine special symbols, picked at random, can expand.
Does VegasNow publish an RTP for Book of Ra?
No figure appears in Novomatic's information for any edition, so we list it as not published. If it matters to you, check the info panel inside the game you open.
What is the top win on Book of Ra?
Not published. We will not borrow a multiplier from another Book title, because it would belong to a different game.
What line stake keeps me under the A$8 bonus cap?
A$0.80 a line or less on deluxe and Magic, since ten lines at A$0.80 make A$8. The cap covers the whole spin and stays in force while any bonus is active.
Are Magic free games the same as my welcome spins?
No. Magic free games come from the reels and follow the game's rules. Welcome spins land in your account after a qualifying deposit and follow our terms: 40x on their winnings and an A$300 cap.
Does Book of Ra clear wagering at 100%?
Yes, as a slot, provided the edition is not on the exceptions list in the general bonus terms. Each A$1 staked clears A$1. Free games in the Magic feature are unpaid, so they leave the counter where it was.
How many points does A$500 on Book of Ra earn?
20 redeemable and 20 status points, at one of each per A$25 of real-money slot play. The 200-point minimum exchange needs A$5,000 staked.
Can I play Book of Ra on my phone?
Yes, through the browser on iPhone or Android. Skip any APK, because none is needed. Adding VegasNow to your Home Screen gives you an app-style icon.
